Volleyball Extends League Record to 12-0 in Victory Over Salesian

The Albany High varsity girls volleyball team improved to 12-0 in league (23-5 overall) with a 3-0 win over Salesian last night. The victory came in three games, as the Cougars won each set over the Pride (25-13, 25-17, and 25-19, respectively). Though Salesian is one of the tougher teams in Bay Shore Athletic League (now third place in BSAL standings), Albany had no trouble remaining undefeated in league.

The Cougars will try to build upon their success this Thursday (October 27th), as they take on John Swett at home. Swett has had a very underwhelming season thus far, so Albany is in good position to maintain its streak.

This weekend the Cougars will play in the Northgate Tournament, an important warm-up for post-season seeding and play.

The BSAL Tournament begins Tuesday November 1.
