The Albany High Track and Field team fared well in the BSAL championships and the NCS Bayshore meet this past month. Freshman Talei Tagivakatini won both the womens varsity shotput and discus competitions at the BSAL championships. Sam Crowley won the mens varsity shotput and came in third in the mens varsity discus competitions. Talei Tagivakatini will be moving on to the NCS Meet of Champions.
Distance runners sophomore Keegan Richerson and senior Kevin Shea both advanced to the MOC. Keegan Richerson in the 800 meters with a time of 2:03.31 and Kevin Shea in the two mile with a time of 9:50.38. Richardson and Shea finished 6th and 3rd, respectively. The Meet of Champions will be held at Cal next weekend. Come out and support our runners!
