The world had mourned for the beloved King of Pop, Michael Jackson, since his death on June 25, 2009 and fans long for more of his iconic performances and music. In his new movie, THIS IS IT Michael performs his final concert to his millions of adoring fans.
After his death all of the speculation about his life and negative feelings toward him melted away and turned into love and craving for our favorite pop musician.
Tickets for the two-week movie phenomenon will go on sale this Sunday (Sept, 27, 2009). We suspect the tickets will sell out quickly, especially due to the fast-selling concerts he missed by two months due to his tragic death. On top of the initial hype is the controversy over the circumstances of his death and the increased support and affection towards Michael Jackson.
The film promises a rare and extremely personal look at “The Man Behind the Music,” it was created from over 100 hours of raw footage from concert rehearsals and performances. The film captures the creative genius, and artist at work, creating and perfecting his final show.
Kenny Ortega, creative director of the THIS IS IT concert tour, is directing the film inspired from the tour. This is a world-wide two week event brought to us by Sony pictures.
Fans can go to www.thisisit-fans.com you can upload your own photo to be a part of the mosaic for the THIS IS IT movie. The lines have already formed in LA, where tickets go on sale Sunday, for three days fans will wait to see the king of pop in action one more time.

This is fascinating! Thank you, Jeff! I can’t wait to see the film!
Oh wow hey this is gonna be soooooo good!!
somebody had the intuition to record all the rehearsals in case he couldn’t perform 50 dates at the O2…hm, fishy. he only agreed to do 10 dates. AEG worked him to death. rip mj
the guy was a good musician, but also drug addict. Not sure that there is such a huge void left in humanity by MJ.
Bubbles, your conspiracy theory is wacko.
Snap.
Even though he was an addict, and was really creepy, he WAS the KING OF POP! you cant deny his music is eternal.
Forreal, arent u gonna see this movie?! I AM!
Guys, y’all are just bein’ ignorant and missin’ the point: this article is AWESOME.
P.S. – Who in their right mind wouldn’t want to film hours of MJ rehearsing and hanging out in high def?! I know I hecka would had I the opportunity. I mean, have you seen the sh*t he pulls in the trailer?! Dude could MOVE! And frikken’ BEATBOX! HOO!
“Like Really” do you realize you are ignoring the fact that michael jackson was a child molester!?!?! does the scandal in his life not affect you at all?! i feel like his later years in life are comparable to death because he was out of the public eye and not producing any more music! he was a HAS BEEN! now that hes dead, we all love him? I refuse to see this and feed into the frenzy!
“Fact”? Really?
How about the fact that Michael Jackson was acquitted of all charges? Or the fact that the ‘concerned parents’ of these children went to their lawyers before calling the cops? Or that the police questioned every child Jackson was known to have associated with and every single one of them denied any abuse by Jackson? Or how about the simple standard of innocent until proven guilty?
The fact is that there is not a shred of evidence against Michael Jackson, other than the word of accusers with little credibility.
I find it somewhat repulsive that you would compare a few years of relative privacy to death. Let’s not forget that he was a person and just because he was not constantly making headlines and entertaining us for a few years, doesn’t mean that his life was irrelevant.
Michael Jackson cannot be considered a has-been by any objective standard. Let’s ignore questions of the quality of his later musical output, something which is a matter of personal taste, and just look at the fact that his last album sold 9 million copies, that ticket sales for This Is It broke box office records, and that in the months leading up to the concerts sales of his back catalogue were rising by several hundred percent. July would have seen him back on the covers of music magazines whether or not he died.
I agree with you that there has been a ridiculous amount of media coverage but I object more to the abundance of tabloid rumours which seem to spring up every week than to the outpouring of praise and affection. I know it can seem like an incredibly irritating bandwagon type of thing, but I think it’s just a case of “you don’t know what you’ve got until it’s gone”. The fact that it’s now ‘cool’ to like MJ doesn’t detract from the sincerity of his fans, or from the magnitude of his talent. If you don’t like Michael Jackson then don’t see the film, but there’s no need to insult the man, especially with such baseless claims – that kind of thing will only feed the frenzy.
Woo! yeah, shamone! ooOOooH! Aaow! (MJ approval)
WHO CARES?
Love lives forever! L-O-V-E!
It’s all about the love…!
