After its absence from the Albany High freshmen curriculum for the past two years the Renewal Project, and the famous debates, are making a comeback.
However, the project has been slightly altered since the current seniors last did the project. While the project once involved science, math, and English classes, this year it will only pertain to English and Identity, Health and Society.
Unlike past years, half of the freshmen class will be engaged in the debates scheduled for Friday February 13, 2009. The remaining students will start their projects after mid-winter break and will debate on March 23, 2009.
Seniors will be the only students allowed to judge the debates because they are the only class who has participated in it.
