The Latest in Sweatshirts

Dead Serious sweatshirts are all the rageIn November, the Lifted Research Group, or LRG, released the Dead Serious hooded sweatshirt to the public. Kanye West rocked the sweatshirt at a Stella McCartney fashion show and thanks to good ol’ Kanye, the hype for this sweatshirt has grown. The sweatshirt features a full-zip hood, with a skeleton design and where the eyes are, see-through mesh, so you can walk around with it on.

The sweatshirt also features a glow-in-the-dark design. LRG began its Dead Serious line early autumn. It includes tee shirts, gloves, and sweatshirts with the “skeleton bones” design on them, but the item that generated the most hype is the hooded sweatshirt.

Many websites say the Dead Serious sweatshirt is the most talked about sweatshirt this fall/winter season. Since the sweatshirt retails at $200, LRG has made it clear they don’t need your money. That’s why Jonas Bevaqua, owner of LRG burned a stock load of 600 of the sweatshirts while flicking off the camera in a controversial picture seen by all “hypebeasts” or people with the current trends around the world.

I personally think the sweatshirt’s pretty cool, but as I mentioned in my Bape article, I’m not going to pay $200 dollars for a sweatshirt, unless I had money to spend. I do have a job, but my parents don’t let me spend the money ‘cause of “gas.” I’m not even driving yet! But I digress. The sweatshirt’s dope, but there are fakes that have been made already.
