Snow in the Bay Area is a rare and special treat. This morning, December 16, Albany got a taste of its pleasures. The top of Grizzly Peak was covered with an inch-thick blanket of snow. Thick layers of both fog and excitement filled the air.
The snow was coarse, but still fit for snowballs. People were having snowball fights and building rudimentary snowmen. Everyone was smiling.
“I can’t remember the last time I was so excited!” said senior Glasha Marcon. “I’ve been to the snow before, but this is just amazing.”
The Bay Area is not used to extreme temperatures; other than rain and dense fog it is not usually graced with frozen precipitation. People often say there aren’t real seasons in the West Coast. This proves them at least somewhat wrong.
“Finally, all this time of wearing snowgear to school has paid off,” said senior Matthew Petrofsky.

I can’t believe it (and not just the snow)…
Matthewww hahahah
Snow in the Bay Area doesn’t prove them wrong, it just supports the theory of climate change!
Sweet thumb over the lens guys.
