Ending the 2011-2012 Albany High School Homecoming in fashion, all four classes put on a fantastic lip-sync, won in high fashion by the Juniors.
The freshmen led off with a cute and successful dance for first-timers. Choosing a more hip-hop-friendly selection of songs, they were able to display a modest dance routine.
The sophomores followed with a high-energy skit, picking up right where they left off last year. Highlights included orange umbrellas being unfolded to display “2014” and a rendition of 2007 hit, “Pop Goes My Heart,” led by Grant Black and Carl Jacobs.
Following the sophomores were the juniors, whose routine included several homemade raps, sung by Spencer Perry and Conner Davidson. The juniors also used a more friendly selection of songs this year, straying away from their notoriously provocative dances from a year ago.
The seniors closed out with a bang. Among the skilled choreography and jokes on all three other classes was a great song selection, and a homemade rap orchestrated by Paulie Kennedy. The routine also ended with a flash mob organized by the class of 2012, which all knew the final choreography.
Despite the juniors winning lip-sync, the seniors win Homecoming.
