It’s a Madrigal Time of Year

The onset of winter at AHS means a multitude of things: it’s slightly colder than usual, seniors are beginning to feel the heat on college applications, and even the most stalwart of scantily-clad girls are beginning to cover up. Winter also signals Albany High vocal music’s yearly Madrigal performance.

The Madrigal is a cross between a musical, a comedy, and a Renaissance fair. The intent is to recreate a Renaissance Feast, with a buffet and live music. Performers sing, dance, and act in their spiffy Renaissance costumes. Show times are Dec. 3 and 4 in the multipurpose room at 7 p.m. The cost, which includes food, is $12 for students and seniors and $17 for adults. All proceeds go to the Albany Music Fund.
