Albany High School’s Cougar Cafe has gone “green.”
Now, thanks to the efforts of AHS Earth Team, compost bins are located in the school’s cafeteria. Instead of throwing items such as cardboard lunch trays and apple cores into the trash, students can deposit them into one of two bins that reside next to a garbage bin in the front of the cafeteria. To make the process a breeze, there are always at least two smiling students there to help guide the way.

Is there also a recycle bin for paper so we can throw our bad test papers into them to hide them from our parents?
