Homecoming is fast approaching, and classes are hard at work preparing for games and events. This year, Leadership has made some additions to this year’s festivities.
First of all, Leadership has established a point system to determine the winning class of Homecoming. Points will be awarded for participation in spirit days, success in lunchtime activities, and, for the first time, contributions to the Albany High School Canned Food Drive. Check the Red Leadership Board across from the attendance office for specifics and updates during Homecoming week.
Additionally, for the first time, we will have March of the Cougars from the high school to Cougar Field for the Homecoming football game. Participation is open to everyone, and you can also check the Red Leadership Board for more information.
For decorating, the administration has created some new guidelines. You can find specific rules on Schoolloop, the Leadership blog on ahs510.org, and on the Red Leadership Board. Please remember that paint of any kind is not permitted! If classes use paint to decorate, the Homecoming Dance will be canceled.
Lastly, if you have any questions or concerns about Homecoming, contact Leadership at albanyleadership@gmail.com. You can also attend Leadership’s Tea (Thursday, October 15th) the week before Homecoming to ask Leadership any Homecoming-related questions.
