Block B Schedule
General
1. Reminder: The PSAT will be administered at Albany High on Saturday,
Oct. 18th from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM. Cost is $23.00 exact change or by
check payable to Albany High School. We have ordered 325 test booklets
and have already sold 242 tests. Sign ups will continue at lunch at the
outside bookroom window until all exams are sold.
2. Students can register to vote today in the main lobby during lunch.
You must be 18 years old and bring a valid drivers license or social
security card.
3. The candidates for the Albany School Board will be taking questions
from AHS Students, their parents, and other members of the Albany
community Thursday evening, Oct 16th @ 7pm in the Little Theater.
4. Seniors: Achievers will be here this week during lunch to take your
cap/gown orders. Last names A-L on Thursday, October 16th, and M-Z on
Friday, October 17th.
5. JUNIORS: Ms. DiGiulio has applications for becoming a State Board of
Ed. Student rep. Drop a note in her mailbox in the main office with your
name and the room # for your 2nd. Period class if interested.
7. Need Tutoring Help? The AHS Student Tutor List is now posted on the
website and available in the Counseling Office. We have many qualified
student tutors who are eager to work! Check it out.
7. Today’s lunch menu: Lasagna, BBQ Chicken Pizza, Chicken Fajita Salad
& Deli Sandwiches
8. I-M Flag Football — playing today: Swayze Crew vs A.L.B. Bad Boyz
College/Career
1. College Visits: today – UBC/Toronto, 8am and UC Santa Cruz, 1:45pm;
Thurs. – Columbia U., 10am, Wesleyan, noon, and Reed, 1:35pm; Fri. – U
of Calgary, 10am.
2. Juniors and Seniors: CSF (California Scholarship Federation) is an
honor society that recognizes academic achievement and community
service. On the board outside the Counseling Office, you will find
information and a list of students who qualify for CSF membership based
on grades from Spring semester of last year. Juniors and Seniors can
become members now; sophomores will become eligible after first semester
of this year. Seniors who want to know how many semesters they have been
CSF members may inquire in the Counseling Office. CSF applications will
be available in the Counseling Office beginning today, and will be
accepted through Wednesday, October 22nd for this enrollment period. You
MUST fill out an application and pay $5.00 dues to be a member.

1. If interested in playing on the Boy’s Basketball team this school
year, meet today. 3:00pm in Rm. 211.
2. Come if you want to play Yu-Gi-Oh trading card game and meet
classmates and have a blast of a time during lunch in Rm. 104
