Block A Schedule
General
1. Homecoming Dance tickets will be sold a week from today on Oct. 7th
– Oct 10th after school only.
You MUST have a completed dance agreement form when you purchase your
ticket. Guest passes are due by Oct. 9th and MUST be signed by Ms. Woods
in the attendance office before you can purchase a ticket. Forms
available on AHS website under “Student Resources” —> “Student Conduct
Code”, then links on left.
NO EXCEPTIONS!
2. The school photographers will be here on Wed., Oct. 1, from 8:30am to
2:30pm on the Little Theater stage.
If you DID NOT take a school picture passes will be delivered to your
classroom excusing you to the Little Theater. If you need to take a
re-take YOU MUST sign up for an appointment in the attendance office.
3. Interested in tinkering with stuff and making electronic or
electrical projects? Come hear about Tinker Day at UC Berkeley in the
School of Engineering every Friday afternoon. Open to all students.

4. INTERESTED IN HELPING TO PLAN THIS YEAR’S CHALLENGE DAYS? PLANNING
GROUP WILL MEET THURSDAYS AT LUNCH. SIGN-UP ON SHELLY BALL’s DOOR, ROOM
111B.
5. SENIORS & JUNIORS: If you’re interested in attending a free, five-day
Youth Leadership event, please drop a note in Ms. DiGiulio’s box for the
application. Include your printed name and room number of your second
period class.
6. The library will be open Monday – Thursday from 7 am to 5 pm and on
Fridays from 7 am to 4 pm.
7. Juniors: PSAT registration @ lunchtime today outside the bookroom
window. $23.00
8. Today’s lunch menu: BRC Burrito, Kung Pao Chicken, Chicken Garden
Salad & Assorted Sushi Combo
9. Intra-mural Flag Football — playing today: Tuna Can Sam’s vs Swayze Crew
College/Career
1. College Visits this week: *Today, Colby College, 8am; Wednesday,
10/1, Hofstra U., 8am, Yale U., 1:55pm; Friday, 10/3, Tufts U., 9am.
Sign up in the Counseling Office at least one day in advance; also you
must get a Counseling Office permission slip signed by your teacher one
day in advance and bring it with you. See Ms. Sumberg with questions.
2. The September Issue of Future Focus is now posted on the AHS Website
under Counseling. Check it out.

2. SCIENCE CLUB – TODAY – LUNCH – RM. 303 – we will be discussing
wondercup teams

5. MATH CLUB – WED. – LUNCH – RM. 312 – bring signed field trip
permission forms
6. If interested in playing on this year’s Men’s Soccer team, please
come to a meeting on Thursday @ lunchtime in Rm. 209.
7. Wrestling — If you missed last weeks sign up meeting see Coach
Bankson as soon as possible.

1. Please excuse the Women’s Tennis Team @ 2:15pm today.
