Block B Schedule
General
1. Come to the attendance office to sign up for the Blood Drive on
January 30th, 8am to 2pm. Free t-shirts for all donors. Photo ID
required. Must be 17 yrs of age.
2. Appropriate Dance Rules: Students who wish to learn more about the
new “appropriate dance” rules that are now a part of the Dance Agreement
may come to an informational forum in the Little Theater during Advisory
today. Please get a pass from the Attendance office and check in with
your Advisory teacher prior to coming to the Theater.
3. Congratulations to the Cross Country Girls Team for winning the team
NCS Scholar Athlete Award. (3.8 team average) Brisa Bodell, Jessica
Quinn, Mariel Pastor, Saskia Braucher, Anna Castillo-James, Abby
Ridley-Kerr & Shing Wen.
4. The Winter Ball is Saturday, Jan. 31, 8-12 midnight in the AHS gym.
Tickets/invitations sold at lunch time only outside the bookroom window.
$25, please have exact change (this makes the line go faster) or check
payable to AHS. You MUST have your dance agreement form completed before
you can purchase your ticket. Guest applications are due by Thursday,
Jan. 29th. You Must give to Ms. Woods in the attendance office for
approval before purchasing ticket/invitations for your guest. Picture ID
is required to enter dance, start looking for your student ID card NOW,
if you need a replacement you could be charged, if you are a new student
see Ms. Salas in the bookroom after school only! Forms are on AHS
Website (home page – right side).
5. Come support your Girls Basketball program TONIGHT! We play Encinal
in the school gym. JV game begins at 5:30pm and Varsity at 7pm. Snacks
will be available! We need lots of COUGAR PRIDE!!
6. General meeting for all students seriously interested in a trip to
Europe in 2009/2010 school year. Great discount on price available only
through Jan. Come to Rm. 215 @ lunchtime today.
7. Today’s lunch menu: Deli Sandwiches, Chicken Enchiladas, Pepperoni or
Cheese Pizza & Chef Salad
8. Albany Music Fund Jazz Brunch – Join us for our annual fundraiser
featuring a delicious brunch buffet from Downtown Restaurant in Berkeley
and fabulous entertainment from the musicians at Albany High School and
Albany Middle School. Performances include the High School’s Jazz Lab
and Jazz Band, Rhythm Bound and Vocal Flight, as well as the Albany
Middle School’s Jazz Band. You are strongly encouraged to make
