General
1. AHS Men’s Basketball playing today vs Piedmont — home game, JV:
5:30pm & Varsity: 7:00pm.
2. Next week’s schedules: *Monday, 2/9, Block B*; Tuesday, 2/10, Block
A; Wednesday, 2/11, Block B; Thursday, 2/12, Block A; *Friday, 2/13,
Regular Monday Schedule*
3. Today’s lunch menu: Deli Sandwiches, Chicken Bacon Swiss, Pepperoni &
Cheese Pizza & Chef Salad
4. Sat., 2/7/09 – AHS has 2 Science Bowl Teams that will travel to U.C.
Berkeley to compete in the Regional Final of the US Dept. of Energy
Science Bowl at the Berkeley Nat’l Lab. Elise Cai & Peter Yao, 2009
Captains.
Good Luck Albany. Team members need to pick up equip/texts from Ms.
Carlock @ lunch in Rm. 303.
College/Career
1. The FREE Spring SAT PREP CLASS will be starting on Thurs., 2/12,
after school. It is a 10-week class, 2 hours on Mondays and 2 hours on
Thursdays every week through May 7. Juniors will be given first
priority. Sign up with Ms. Sumberg in the Counseling Office.
2. Looking for a part-time job? El Cerrito resident broke her foot and
needs help 1-2 hrs/day, 2 or 3 times/week, starting now. If interested,
see Ms. Sumberg in the counseling office ASAP.

diversity performance
