General
1. COMMUNICATING with AHS (including plans for the new SchoolLoop
program for homework info by email, if parents sign up… And grade
reports… And free web-pages for AHS clubs!) Come to the PTSA meeting
with students, teachers, parents and principal, Ted Barone, MONDAY,
Feb. 4, 6:45 pm – 8:30 in the Library.
2. 10th graders: The California High School Exit Exam will be given to
all 10th graders NEXT WEEK. The English portion will be on Tuesday,
Feb. 5, and the Math portion will be on Wedesday, Feb. 6. We will be on
a special schedule those two days. Testing will begin at 7:40 AM both
Tuesday and Wednesday. Testing locations will be posted in the Main
Hall lobby by next Monday, Feb. 4.
3. Do you have clothes that you are waiting to get rid of? If you are a
girl and have clothes in good condition, please start cleaning out your
closets/dressers and donate to the AHS clothing drive coming soon.
4. WRESTLING @ Mission San Jose Tournament all day today and tomorrow.
WRESTLING @ Oakland Tournament all day tomorrow.
5. Music Fund raiser- Sunday Jazz Brunch at the Downtown Restaurant -
2102 Shattuck Avenue Berkeley – Feb. 3, 11:30-3pm (seating any time)
Entertainment provided by Albany Music Students. To reserve tickets
call 558-6865. $35 for adults $20 for students.
6. Do you yearn for the gelatinous jiggle of Jell-O? Are you infatuated
with the practicality of sparks? Then come out and support the most
talented female musicians tonight, 7pm at the Albany Community Center.

1. RED CROSS – TODAY – LUNCH – RM. 302 – quick meeting, but mandatory
2. Men’s tennis team tryouts Monday Feb. 4 at 3:30pm with Coach John
Fry at the Memorial park courts.
3. Reminder! SOFTBALL tryouts begin Monday, Feb. 4th @ Memorial Field,
3:30pm. Any questions, see Coach V.
