BSAL Volleyball Champs

The Bay Shore Athletic League’s girls volleyball Championship between the Albany High School Cougars and the Salesian Pride was held in the AHS gym Saturday night, Nov. 6. The Cougars jumped to an early lead, beating the Pride in the first game 25-18, and never slowed down from there. The Cougars pounded Salesian into defeat, taking the second game 25-19, and the third 25-14. For the first time in seven years, the Albany High School girls volleyball team is Bay Shore Athletic League champion. With the four seed in North Coast Section, they look to make a run for it all. Their game this Saturday at 7 p.m. versus five seed Analy High School will determine whether the Cougars will move on to play first seed Campolindo High School in the NCS division III semifinals.
