Everybody get ready for Albany’s most underrepresented arts department to strut its stuff. The annual visual art show will arrive next week in a bang of pixels and paint. The five different arts classes (ROP Photography, Advanced Art, AP Studio Art, Ceramics, and Basic Art) will present their years’ work on May 30 and 31, 2007 from 6 to 8:30 in the multipurpose room and visual art classrooms.
Compared to last year’s show, this one will be quite larger because of the increase in Advanced Art students and the addition of Advanced Photography students. Quality won’t be spared due to increased quantity, however. The show will still include the interactive student demonstrations and the ever-popular free expression wall sponsored by the Public Arts Club (PAC). Although the show is free, this year much of the art will be for sale and there will be food sold – so don’t forget your wallet.
Whether to work on your Visual and Performing Arts paper, or to check out what your friends have been up to all year, make sure to come support your school’s artists on May 30 and 31.
