Albany’s Fun Again!!

Finally! Thanks to the recent themed dance parties going on at the Albany Community Center, teenagers have a place to have some fun in their hometown. Not only is it organized by Albany High School’s very own Anna Reutinger, the Disc Jockey duties have been performed by many other students at this school.

So far, there have been two dance parties at the Albany Community Center—better known as the Epicentre—each having a respectable turnout of kids looking to shake their behinds and socialize with fellow Albanians.

The first party was an eighties-themed dance extravaganza and the second was a reggae fest dedicated to Bob Marley on his birthday. Both parties turned out well, with good music all night, and very few wallflowers. It is nice to have people our age disc jockeying. As a result, there are fewer worries about the lack of tasteful and up-to-date music.

Besides the obvious complications occurring such as not a very fluid transition from disc jockey to disc jockey in the music, so far these parties have upgraded the fun level of Albany.

Don’t worry folks, there are more Epicentre parties to come in the near future. The next party is said to be pajama-themed, so bring your slippers!
